Olympus Stylus 770 SW

January 29, 2008 – 7:33 am

The Olympus Stylus 770 SW is the world’s most durable digital camera. It is not only waterproof, but its freeze proof, drop proof and crush proof. You can drop it from 5 feet, dunk it to 33 feet, freeze it (-10C/14F) or even try to crush it up to 220 pounds and it will still take amazing photos. The Stylus 770 SW’s durable construction is designed to withstand a five-foot drop, bump, or other mishap, so your camera and images are protected. At the same time, you won’t have any problems slipping this tough but slender camera into a shirt pocket.

Design:

The 770SW’s body is attractively designed. At first glance, the 7.1-megapixel Olympus Stylus 770SW looks like every other silver digital camera. There are screws and studs on the front and back of the all-metal body, giving it a stark industrial look. It feels sturdy even though it weighs 6 ounces with the battery. It measures 3.6 x 2.3 x .8 (WHD, in inches). The Olympus 770 SW is a little heavier than others of its size but its stainless steel body is incredibly sturdy and is sealed against the elements with special gaskets and O-rings. Yet, the Olympus 770SW is small enough to be extremely portable.
